The National Identification Authority (NIA) of Ghana, in partnership with the Ghana Police Service’s Criminal Investigation Department (CID), has trained 16 CID officers who will be stationed at the 16 regional centers nationwide.

These officers will collaborate with NIA staff to ensure that the correct fees are charged during the registration process and to identify and apprehend any foreigners attempting to fraudulently register for the Ghana card.

Additionally, the NIA is working closely with the Ghana Immigration Service to deploy officers at all registration centers across the country.
This joint effort is aimed at strengthening the integrity of the registration process and ensuring that only eligible Ghanaian citizens are issued the national ID.

The collaboration between these agencies reflects a comprehensive approach to safeguarding the registration process from fraud and unauthorized activity.
