A 39-year-old man, David Frimpong, suspected to be a major drug distributor, has been arrested in Berekum following a targeted sting operation.

Law enforcement officers reportedly discovered a large quantity of suspected Indian hemp at his residence, including 57 compressed slabs, 195 wraps, and three sacks of dried leaves believed to contain the substance.

Authorities also seized a container of groundnut-cake toffee allegedly infused with the drug.

Investigators believe Frimpong played a key role in coordinating the distribution of the substance across Berekum and nearby communities.
