A barber dies while testing a supposed bulletproof charm intended to protect him from gunshots

A young barber from Denkyira Duaso, identified as Mawuko Manfred, has reportedly died while testing a supposed bulletproof charm intended to protect him from gunshots.

According to reports, the victim had developed an interest in joining a local gang and sought protection from potential rival attacks.

In pursuit of this, he visited a spiritualist, Yusif Shafii, who allegedly provided him with “gun medicine” believed to make him immune to bullets.

After the ritual was said to have been performed, Yusif Shafii and his apprentice, Samuel Govnant, reportedly insisted that the charm needed to be tested.

During the process, Samuel allegedly fired a loaded gun, hitting Manfred in the chest and killing him instantly.

The Ghana Police Service has since arrested Yusif Shafii, 37, along with Samuel Govnant.

Both suspects are currently assisting with ongoing investigations.
