Six bodyguards reportedly attached to Nana Kwadwo Safo Akofena, the brother of former Dome-Kwabenya MP Sarah Adwoa Safo, have allegedly been arrested in connection with a shooting incident involving the former legislator.
According to sources, a dispute has emerged between Sarah Adwoa Safo and her brother, Kwadwo Safo Akofena Junior, over succession and inheritance matters following the death of their father, Apostle Dr. Kwadwo Safo Kantanka.
Reports indicate that the incident occurred when Adwoa Safo allegedly attempted to enter her brother’s residence during a ceremony linked to his installation and succession.
During the confrontation, she was reportedly shot by some of the bodyguards assigned to Kwadwo Safo Akofena.
The police have reportedly arrested six of the bodyguards in connection with the incident and have launched investigations into the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
Authorities are yet to issue an official statement on the matter.
