A boat accident on Volta Lake in the East Gonja District has resulted in the deaths of at least seven people, with two others still missing.
The vessel, which was carrying 14 passengers, reportedly capsized due to unfavorable weather conditions.
Among those on board, seven people — including two women and five children — have been confirmed dead, and their bodies have been recovered by rescue teams.
One woman and one child are still missing, while five men survived the incident after being rescued.
