The Ghana Hostels Limited (GHL) has called on Acting Rent Commissioner Fredrick Opoku to issue an immediate apology over remarks he made about rent charges at the Pentagon Hostel on the University of Ghana campus, Legon.
GHL strongly rejected the comments, describing them as unfair and misleading, while defending its pricing structure as justified by the quality of facilities and services provided to students.
The company insisted that its rent charges are competitive and reflect current operational costs.
According to GHL, the Commissioner’s statements could damage the reputation of the hostel and create unnecessary public misunderstanding about its operations.
