NPP 5 Aspirant Presidential Candidates Signs Peace pact Ahead of 31st January Primaries

The New Patriotic Party is gearing up for its presidential primaries scheduled for 31st January 2026, which will determine the party’s flagbearer for the 2028 General Election.

Five aspirants who are contesting for the position are;  Hon. Adu Twum (Former Minister for Education), Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia (Former Vice President of Ghana), Bryan Acheampong, Hon. Kennedy Agyapong and Kwabena Agyapong.

The aspirants met today at the Alisa Hotel in the Greater Accra Region, where they signed a peace pact ahead of the primaries, committing themselves to a peaceful and orderly process.
Addressing the gathering, former President Akufo-Addo stressed that the NPP remains bigger than any individual, they should advice themselves and supporters to respect the party’s rules and regulations and work together to safeguard its unity.

The founders and the old citizens of the party attended the party’s peace pact program.
