Colonel K.S. Appiah has been appointed as the new Director of Operations for NAIMOS, succeeding Colonel Dominic Buah.
Over the years, Ghana has faced significant challenges in combating illegal mining, popularly known as galamsey, across various communities.
In response, President John Mahama initiated the deployment of NAIMOS to strengthen efforts against illegal mining activities and bring perpetrators to justice.
As part of this renewed commitment, Colonel Appiah has been entrusted with leading the operation and advancing the fight against galamsey to protect the country’s environment and natural resources.
