Abu Trica Sues EOCO, FBI, Interior Ministry, and NACOC Over Alleged Rights Violation
Frederick Kumi popularly known as Abu Trica has filed a lawsuit at the High Court against the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO), the Narcotics Control Commission (NACOC), the Ministry of the Interior, the United States Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), and the Attorney-General.
The suit alleges that his arrest in December 2025—linked to suspected cyber fraud and romance scam activities—was unlawful.

He further claims he was subjected to prolonged detention without access to basic necessities, mistreatment amounting to cruel and inhuman treatment, invasion of privacy, and multiple violations of his fundamental human rights.
Abu Trica is seeking GH₵10 million in damages from the respondents.
The lawsuit follows a recent court episode in which he was discharged and subsequently rearrested, amid ongoing extradition proceedings to the United States.
