The Lagos State Government has launched an investigation into the reported death of a Lagos socialite known as Elena Jessica, following a cosmetic surgery procedure.
According to reports, she allegedly died after undergoing a Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL) at a clinic within the state.
The investigation is being carried out by the Health Facilities Monitoring and Accreditation Agency (HEFAMAA), the body responsible for overseeing and accrediting healthcare facilities in Lagos.
In a statement released on Thursday, March 12, 2026, the agency’s Permanent Secretary, Dr. Abiola Idowu, explained that the probe was initiated.
