The Bank of Ghana has announced that all Rural Banks and Rural & Community Banks will be converted into Community Banks under the revised Microfinance Sector Framework 2026.
As part of the reform process, affected institutions are required to complete all necessary name changes, rebranding initiatives, and regulatory compliance adjustments by December 2026.
