Ghanaian dancehall artiste Shatta Wale has dismissed widespread media reports suggesting that he was planning to host popular American YouTuber and streamer IShowSpeed at his Trasacco residence.
Clarifying the issue, Shatta Wale stated that although he appreciates the thought and goodwill behind the reports, hosting Speed in such a private setting would not be the most practical option.
According to him, activities involving streamers are better carried out in more open and interactive spaces that align with their content style and audience engagement.
Beyond addressing the rumors, Shatta Wale took the opportunity to commend IShowSpeed for his recent visit to Africa, praising him for positively projecting the continent.
He noted that Speed’s content has helped to highlight Africa’s peace, beauty, and vibrant culture to a global audience, countering long-held negative stereotypes.
Shatta Wale emphasized the importance of such exposure, adding that it contributes to changing global perceptions and promoting unity, tourism, and cultural appreciation across the continent.
