The price of sachet water in Ghana will increase from April 6, 2026, following a directive from the National Association of Sachet and Packaged Water Producers (NASPAWAP).
Under the new pricing structure, a bag containing 30 sachets of 500ml water will sell for a maximum of GH¢8 at the factory and GH¢10 when sold ex-truck.
NASPAWAP explained that the adjustment has become necessary due to the continuous rise in production costs.
Key factors include the increasing prices of imported raw materials, particularly polymers used in packaging, as well as higher fuel costs.
Producers say the increase will help sustain production.
