Pau Cubarsí addressed recent speculation linking Alessandro Bastoni with Barcelona, clarifying that their connection is purely professional.
Speaking to RAC1, Cubarsí explained that they follow each other on Instagram because they have shared the field in the past and are colleagues in the same profession.
He emphasized that the gesture should not be interpreted as anything more than mutual respect between players.
Cubarsí also highlighted the strength of Barcelona’s current center-back options, praising the quality already present in the squad.
While acknowledging that there are many magnificent defenders in football, he made it clear that the team remains focused on the players who are currently part of the club.
