Global InfoAnalytics has predicted a decisive victory for Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia in the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) upcoming presidential primaries scheduled for January 31. According to the firm’s Executive Director, Mussa Dankwah, Dr. Bawumia is expected to win in 14 out of Ghana’s 16 regions, including a strong and commanding performance in the Ashanti Region, the traditional stronghold of the NPP.
The primaries are shaping up to be one of the most competitive internal elections in the party’s history, with five high-profile candidates contesting to lead the NPP into the 2028 general elections.
The contenders include Honourable Kennedy Agyapong, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, Bryan Acheampong, Kwabena Agyapong, and Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum.
