Business mogul and politician Hon. Kennedy Agyapong is preparing to launch a major steel production company that is expected to become the largest steel producer in West Africa.
The former Assin Central MP has imported heavy steel manufacturing machinery from India, Thailand, and China to begin operations.
According to him, most of the existing steel companies in Ghana—about eight in total—are owned by foreign investors.
Kennedy Agyapong said this motivated him to establish a large-scale, locally owned steel factory to make a difference in the industry.
