Former President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has arrived in Cotonou to lead the ECOWAS Election Observation Mission ahead of Benin’s presidential election scheduled for April 12.
The mission, made up of a team of observers deployed across the country, will monitor the electoral process and assess its fairness.
Their role is to support efforts to ensure the election is conducted in a peaceful, transparent, and credible manner.
ECOWAS continues to play a key role in promoting democratic governance and stability across West Africa through such observation missions.
