Former Ghanaian President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo celebrates his 82nd birthday today.
Born on 29th March, 1944, he is a distinguished lawyer and politician who has played a significant role in Ghana’s democratic and political development.
Over the years, he served in key positions including Attorney General and Minister for Foreign Affairs, contributing to governance and policy reforms.
Akufo-Addo later became President of the Republic of Ghana, serving from 2016 to 2024.
During his presidency, he championed major initiatives, most notably the Free Senior High School (Free SHS) policy, aimed at expanding access to secondary education and improving opportunities for young Ghanaians.
