Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has won the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Presidential Primary after a decisive performance at the polls.

He secured a clear majority of the votes cast, polling 56.48 percent, which translates to 100,643 ballots nationwide.
His closest contender, Hon. Kennedy Ohene Agyapong, placed second with 23.76 percent of the total votes, representing 46,554 ballots.
The outcome reflects strong support for Dr. Bawumia among party delegates and positions him as the NPP’s flagbearer ahead of the next general elections.
The primary was keenly contested, drawing significant attention across the country, but the final results underscored Dr. Bawumia’s commanding lead over the other aspirants and consolidated his leadership within the party.
