Danish midfielder has reassured fans that he is recovering well after recently receiving a shock from his implantable cardioverter-defibrillator (ICD).
In a statement, Eriksen said the incident had a significant impact on both him and his family but stressed that it was different from the cardiac arrest he suffered during Euro 2020 in 2021.
The former Manchester United star revealed that he is feeling well and has already begun his recovery process.
He also expressed gratitude to the players and medical personnel who assisted him, as well as the doctors who have monitored his heart condition over the years.
Eriksen credited his ICD for functioning exactly as intended, saying the device protected him when he needed it most.
He praised the medical experts involved in his care and thanked supporters for their concern and encouragement.
For now, the 34-year-old says his priority is to continue recovering, spend quality time with his family, enjoy a vacation, and play football with his children as he gradually returns to normal life.
