Bournemouth manager: I don’t want to lose Antoine Semenyo

AFC Bournemouth manager Andoni Iraola has made it clear he wants to keep hold of Antoine Semenyo amid growing transfer interest in the Ghanaian forward.

Speaking at a press conference, Iraola addressed speculation surrounding the Black Stars attacker, who has been one of the standout performers in the English Premier League this season.

Semenyo has registered eight goals and three assists in 16 league appearances, attracting attention from several top clubs, including Liverpool, Manchester United and Manchester City. According to respected football insider David Ornstein, Chelsea have also made initial contact to express their interest, while reports suggest the forward previously turned down a move to Tottenham Hotspur.

Despite the speculation, Iraola insists Semenyo remains focused and committed to Bournemouth.

“Semenyo is with us right now. He trained with us today,” Iraola told club media. “I know there is a lot of noise around him, but my concern is that it doesn’t affect his performances — and it hasn’t. He is very committed to the team and I hope we can keep him here.

“It’s a situation we cannot fully control, but Antoine is our player and will continue playing for us. If you ask me, I definitely don’t want to lose him.”
