Barcelona president Joan Laporta has criticized the international football schedule following Raphinha’s injury while on national team duty.
He described the situation as unfortunate, stressing that FIFA should design its calendar with the realities faced by players at major clubs in mind.
Laporta noted that it is frustrating for a key player to suffer an injury during what he called a friendly match.
He emphasized that the players themselves are not to blame, as they remain committed professionals who give their best for their countries.
