Actor Idris Elba has said the James Bond franchise should remain focused on entertainment rather than trying to become “woke.”
According to Elba, Bond is a global character, and audiences in different cultures may have varying views on who should portray the iconic spy.
He argued that while adding some realism can be beneficial, the franchise should stay true to its core identity as pure escapist entertainment.
Elba believes Bond should not be reshaped to satisfy every modern social or cultural expectation.
