A 23-year-old Palm Wine Tapper has Been Arrested at Subrinkwanta for Allegedly setting his Girlfriend’s family Home on fire

A 23-year-old palm wine tapper, Numatekpor Kwaku—widely known as “On God”—has been arrested at Subrinkwanta in the Bibiani area of the Western North Region for allegedly setting his girlfriend’s family home on fire.

The tragic incident resulted in the deaths of three individuals: his 19-year-old girlfriend, Benedicta Kudjo Felicia, a student of Queen Senior High School; her 59-year-old mother, Maame Mary Oppong; and her 21-year-old sister, Dora Adoma Kudjo.

According to reports, the family had earlier cautioned him to stay away from Felicia due to her being a student and their disapproval of the relationship.

He is said to have threatened to burn down the house if they refused to permit him to marry her—a threat he allegedly carried out.

Police have confirmed his arrest, and investigations are currently underway.
