Seeing so many Africans openly supporting Mexico simply because they have issues with South Africa is disappointing.
Your country may not be at the World Cup, but one of the few African nations that is deserves at least some continental backing.
By all means, criticize South Africa after the final whistle.
But actively cheering for a non-African team against an African representative on the world stage is a strange stance to take.
It says far more about our inability to unite behind African success than it does about South Africa itself.
