Two men, a tipper truck driver and his mate, have tragically lost their lives after being electrocuted while offloading sand at Bokankye in the Atwima Nwabiagya North District.
According to reports, the incident occurred when the truck’s raised bucket came into contact with a high-voltage power line.
The driver’s mate was electrocuted instantly after rushing to assist the driver, who was subsequently transported to the hospital but was later pronounced dead.
The bodies of the deceased have been deposited at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital morgue, while police investigations into the incident are ongoing.
