Scenes from the KNUST campus following continuous rainfall and rising upstream waters, which overwhelmed the Wiwi River drainage basin and caused it to overflow for several hours.
We are pleased to report that all students are safe, and no damage has been recorded.
In the early hours of Thursday 12th June 2026, there was a heavy downpour in kumasi which affected some areas in Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology flooded.
Measures were taken to avoid any casualties as students and workers were caution to stay safe.
