A 34-year-old man from Nnewi in Anambra State has expressed his frustration after his girlfriend publicly turned down his marriage proposal, only to show up at his house later that same day as though nothing had happened.
According to him, the woman, 27, who hails from Mbaise in Imo State, rejected the engagement ring he offered her in front of friends and onlookers.
The incident, which took place in a public setting, left him feeling embarrassed and deeply hurt.
Surprisingly, later that evening, she returned to his home and attempted to spend the night.
Still upset over the earlier rejection, the man arrived around midnight and asked her to gather her belongings and leave immediately. He reportedly assisted her in packing before escorting her out of the house that same night.
