- Former Accra Hearts of Oak CEO and renowned football administrator, Nii Ayi Bontey, popularly known as Tommy Okine, has passed away.
Bontey played a pivotal role in the club’s success, serving as Team Manager during Hearts of Oak’s historic 2000 CAF Champions League triumph. He later guided the Phobians to victory in the 2005 CAF Confederation Cup before ascending to the traditional leadership role of Gbese Mantse in the Ga State.

His passing marks the end of an era for Ghanaian football and traditional leadership.
