Bruno Fernandes has emotionally explained why he turned down a reported €200 million offer from the Saudi Pro League, saying his decision was driven by purpose, dreams, and family values rather than money.
According to Fernandes, becoming the wealthiest person from his hometown was never his ultimate goal. Instead, he wants to continue chasing his dreams and pass those same values on to his children.
The midfielder also paid tribute to his wife, revealing that she stood by him long before fame and success arrived.
He shared that they had been together since he was 16, and when he moved to Italy at 17 to pursue football, he was earning just €1,700 a month with no guarantees about the future.
Despite the uncertainty, he said his wife chose to support his ambitions, putting aside her own plans to help him succeed.
Today, Fernandes says they have built a beautiful family together and are proud parents of two children — something he values more than financial riches.
