A pastor, Richmond Akwasi Frimpong, has been arrested for allegedly attempting to bury a five-month-old baby alive at Abofrem in the Atwima Mponua District of the Ashanti Region.
Frimpong, who heads the Anointed Grace Prayer Ministry, was reportedly apprehended around 11 p.m. at a refuse dump in the district while accompanied by an alleged accomplice.
Eyewitnesses say a resident intervened during the incident and discovered that the baby was still alive.
The suspect is currently in police custody and assisting with investigations, as authorities in the Ashanti Region continue to look into the case.
