Senegal has honoured the late Ghanaian scholar Dr. James Kwegyir Aggrey with a remarkable tribute.
His image has been featured on a Senegalese airmail stamp, recognizing his profound contributions to education and the promotion of African cultural identity.
It’s a proud moment for Ghana to see one of our own celebrated beyond our borders in such a historic way. It proves that true impact transcends both time and place.
Interestingly, there is also a long-standing and well-known school in Nigeria named after him, and Nigeria’s first president was mentored by Dr. Aggrey.

This is what real legacy looks like — when your life’s work continues to inspire generations and earns international recognition long after you are gone.
