The MCE says Ejisu is facing serious waste disposal challenges.
The Ejisu is located in Ashanti Region as the MCE complained bitterly on where they should dispose the Refuse Dump.
According to the Honourable MCE, previously, waste was taken to Juaben, but the Chief stopped this after the NPP lost the election. Now, all waste is sent to the already-full Kumasi Oti landfill, causing long queues of tricycles.
The MCE also revealed that for eight years, the Assembly has tried to acquire its own landfill site, but the Chiefs have consistently refused to release land, leaving the municipality struggling to manage its waste effectively.
