Ghanaian musician Belinda Ekua Amoah, popularly known as Mzbel, has voiced her frustration over what she describes as unprofessional behavior by some police officers after she reported a rape and robbery incident.

In an interview on United Showbiz, Mzbel alleged that details of the case were leaked, allowing the news to spread publicly and damaging her image.
She said the situation had a negative impact on her career, especially after rumors emerged that police questioned her claims and criticized her for wearing short dresses at home.
Mzbel stressed that a person’s clothing should never be used to justify sexual assault.
She also revealed that another victim in the incident, one of her pregnant dancers, was also assaulted.
She added that what hurt her most was how people used the situation to discredit her instead of showing sympathy.
