“CAS” has confirmed that the Senegalese Football Federation has filed an appeal challenging the decision to declare Morocco as the winners of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).

The Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) has confirmed that the Senegalese Football Federation (FSF) has filed an appeal challenging the decision to declare Morocco as the winners of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).

According to CAS, the appeal was officially registered on 25 March 2026.

In the filing, the FSF is requesting that the CAF decision be set aside and that Senegal be reinstated as the rightful winners of the tournament.

The federation argues that Senegal were the original champions and is seeking a legal review of CAF’s ruling.

CAS will now examine the case and determine whether the governing body’s decision should be overturned.
